My music has been performed with accolades throughout the United States and Canada, and I have developed a national reputation as a Jazz and Classical pianist. I hold a Doctorate in Music Composition from the University of Michigan where I was teaching assistant to two Pulitzer prize-winning composers. For 20 years I was a full-time University professor in both Classical and Jazz music, most notably at The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. My students in both genres regularly received full music scholarships to graduate school at prestigious institutions around the country.
I have successfully taught 27 different courses in music at the college level, including the full range of Classical Piano, Jazz Piano, Improvisation, Composition, Music Theory/Analysis, Music Technology, Chamber Music, and Jazz Ensembles large and small.
Currently I am a software trainer for a large technology company where I specialize in professional creative media applications. I hold several professional certifications for the complete range of Apple creative software, and am intimately familiar with most Adobe apps as well. Fluent in html/CSS and some Javascript, I designed and coded this website and created all the media on it. See the links below for more information.
